I've spent more than a decade working with graduate students, and in that time countless students told me that they'd never been taught a particular rule or learned how to write in an academic style. They appreciated my ability to explain concepts in a way that enabled them to improve the quality of their writing. This blog is a way of helping writers to understand those same concepts.
