Working with a tutor is a great way to improve your writing skills. Whether you are looking to strengthen your academic writing generally or to address a specific weakness, there are options for you. All tutoring is personalized to meet your needs and features weekly one-on-one sessions.

Weekly Writing

The Weekly Writing program is designed for continuous improvement. We will look at your writing holistically, rather than targeting a specific weakness. The philosophy of this approach is to treat writing as an art that requires considerable practice, critique, and revision, rather than individual skills that need to be mastered. This program is particularly beneficial for students who are receiving feedback from instructors but need help understanding how to implement that feedback into their writing.

Focused Study

Is there a specifc aspect of your writing that you’d like to focus on? I offer customized courses of study focused on one or more aspects of writing. During a free consultation, we will discuss your goals and assess your current understanding. In between weekly 45-minute tutoring sessions I’ll provide personalized learning activities, such as reading, writing, watching videos, or completing exercises.
